[Source] It is the root or root bark of the leguminous plant Caesalpinia calamus . Available all year round.

【Nature and flavor】 Bitter, pungent, warm.

【Functions and indications】Dispel wind, dispel cold and remove dampness. It is used to treat colds, coughs, body aches, back pain, sore throats, toothaches, bruises, and fish mouth poison.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 3 to 5 qian; or mash into juice. For external use: mash and apply.

【Additional prescription】 ① Dispel cold, induce sweating, and relieve cough. For treating common cold, dizziness, body aches: 3 qian of Yunshi root, 3 qian of Wupifeng (when the body is weak, add 1 qian of Jialanbuzheng).
