Green on top, light green on the bottom. Scapes 2-4, 7-14cm high, densely covered with short rough hairs; cymes with 2-10 flowers; bracts ovate, about 7mm long; bracteoles linear, tiny; calyx bell-shaped, about 5mm long, 5 shallowly lobed, lobes nearly equal, triangular; corolla white or pink, bell-shaped tubular, about 2.4cm long, sparsely hairy on the outside, crown slightly oblique, 5-lobed, lobes nearly equal; stamens 4, 2 fertile stamens, hidden, anthers connected; ovary slender, covered with short hairs. The capsule is linear, about 3.8 cm long, spirally twisted, and becomes glabrous. Flowering period is July-August. Fruiting period is September-October.
