Leaves are alternate, palmately compound, with 7 leaflets; with cylindrical long petioles, 15-30cm long, swollen at the base, fused with stipules in a sheath-like shape, clasping the stem, and leaflets also with long petioles, 1.5-5.5cm long; leaflets are leathery, ovate or ovate-oblong, 8-20cm long, 2.5-8cm wide, 1-2 pairs of leaflets at the base are smaller, ovate-lanceolate, with long acuminate apex, obliquely rounded or shallowly cordate base, margins entire or serrated and irregularly deeply fissured; green, smooth, glabrous above, gray-green below; densely covered with white stellate short soft hairs; main vein is thick and obvious, lateral veins are 8-12 pairs, sunken above, raised below, reticulate veins are not obvious on both sides. The umbels are arranged in terminal racemes, 30-40cm long, stellate pubescent to almost glabrous, with lower branches often forming compound racemes; bracts are triangular, 3-6mm long, stellate pubescent on the outside, glabrous on the inside; pedicels are 1.5-5cm long, stellate pubescent; bracteoles are triangular, 2-3mm long; pedicels are 6-8mm long, grayish-white pubescent; calyx is densely grayish-white stellate pubescent, with 5 teeth; petals are 5, 2-3mm long, sparsely stellate pubescent on the outside, and the flowers are light green-white; stamens are 5, filaments are 3mm long; ovary is inferior, 5-chambered, disk is flat, styles are connate into columns, and stigmas are obvious. The fruit is a drupe, oval, with 5 edges. The flowering period is September-October, and the fruiting period is December.
