【Original morphology】Plant height 15-70cm. The rhizome is long and horizontal, dark brown, and covered with dark brown, lanceolate scales along with the base of the petiole. Leaves are sparse; petiole is 5-20cm long; leaf blade is herbaceous, glabrous or sparsely covered with a few small scales along the midrib below, lanceolate, 15-30cm long, 2.5-5cm wide, apex acuminate, margin upper 1/4-1/3 shallowly lobed or less divided, lower 2/3-3/4 deeply lobed or pinnately divided, base deeply lobed to the rachis, forming 1-4 sessile or nearly sessile pinnae, pinnae at base slightly reduced, pinnate-lobed once; lobes and pinnae oblong or linear-oblong, apex obtuse; venation is obvious, pinnate-shaped on lobes, veinlets are simple or forked. The sori are oblong, occasionally nearly linear, 2-3mm long, usually solitary on a small vein on the upper side of the lateral veins, obliquely upward, extending outward from the near midrib of the lobe, almost reaching the leaf edge; the sori cover is linear, brown, membranous, and entire.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows under forests or on rocks beside streams.

【Functions and indications】 Clears heat and cools blood; promotes diuresis and relieves stranguria. Mainly used for stranguria; hemoptysis; mastitis
