[Source] It is the tuber of the Dioscorea sibiricum plant of the Dioscorea family . Dig it up in early winter, wash off the soil and set aside.

[Original form] Perennial twining herb. The tubers are fleshy, up to 60 cm long and come in a variety of shapes and colors. Stems sharply quadrangular or with 4 narrow wings, smooth and glabrous. Leaves are opposite; there are often pyri in the axils; leaf blades are cordate-ovate to cordate-oblong, with nearly circular lobes, 8 to 16 cm long. 5-8 cm wide, with a sharp and gradually pointed tip, a cordate base, and 7-9 veins. The male inflorescence is axillary, narrowly conical, 20 to 30 cm long; the flowers are light green, alternate in "Z"-shaped, clustered and racemose short spikes, 1 to 1.5 mm long; the female inflorescence is a simple spike. Capsule leathery, oval, with 3 wings. Flowering period is from July to August. The fruiting period is from August to September.

Taken with pork tendon, it can treat protruding eyeballs, commonly known as crab eyes."
