[Source] Fungus: Ascomycetes, Hypodiformes , Ergotaceae, Ustilaginoides virens (Cke.) Tak., the sclerotium is used as medicine.

【Nature and flavor】Slightly salty, neutral.

【Functions and indications】 Anti-inflammatory and bactericidal. Used for running horse throat paralysis.

[Usage and Dosage] 1-1.5 qian of powder, taken with a small cup of white wine, 2-3 times a day.

【Remarks】 (1) Sclerotia grow on a few spikelets after heading.
