How to eat desert ginseng

1. Cistanche and wolfberry wine

Put 200 grams of Cistanche deserticola, 100 grams of Cynomorium songaricum, 30 grams of Gastrodia elata and 100 grams of Lycium barbarum into 8 jin of white wine and soak for 7-15 days. Drink 10-30 ml daily.

2. Cistanche Lamb Congee

Wash the Cistanche deserticola, wash and slice the mutton, and cut the green onion and ginger into pieces for later use. Put Cistanche deserticola into a casserole, add appropriate amount of water, boil for 30 minutes, remove the residue and keep the juice. Add polished japonica rice, wolfberry, salt, onion and ginger, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 35 minutes until the polished japonica rice is cooked through. It can be eaten for breakfast and dinner, and has the effects of warming the kidney yang and replenishing the essence and blood. It is used to treat kidney yang deficiency, fear of cold, etc.

3. Chicken stewed with wolfberry and Cistanche deserticola

First, wash and chop the chicken into pieces and blanch it. Remove the impurities from wolfberry (10g) and Cistanche deserticola (8g), wash and soak them. Slice the ginger (10g) and set aside. Put a clean pot on the fire, add water (1000 grams), ginger slices, Cistanche deserticola, and chicken (350 grams). Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Add wolfberries and simmer for another 10 minutes.

4. Carp stewed with Cistanche and wolfberry

Recipe and usage: Wash Cistanche deserticola, wolfberry and carp. Cut the green onion into sections. Fry the carp over low heat until both sides are golden brown. Add cooking wine, water, ginger slices, and Cistanche deserticola. Stew over medium heat for 2 hours. Add wolfberry, scallion segments, salt, and pepper and cook for a while longer. Efficacy: Detoxifies, nourishes the body and mind, and is very effective for women with cold hands and feet.

Cistanche deserticola is sweet in taste and warm in nature. It has the effects of nourishing the kidney and strengthening yang, replenishing essence and marrow, nourishing blood and moistening dryness, improving complexion and prolonging life. Cistanche can be used as both medicine and food. Long-term consumption can increase physical strength, enhance endurance and resist fatigue. It can also enhance the sexual ability and fertility of humans and animals. If you want to eat it normally, you can just soak it in water. The nutritional value of soaked water is also quite high.
