[Source] Medicinal material source: The rhizome of the plant Scrophulariaceae.

[Original form] Misaki is a perennial herb, 30-150cm tall. The rhizome is up to 10 cm long. The stem is erect, cylindrical, with narrow ribs, few branches, glabrous in the middle and lower parts, or hairy only on the ribs, and densely covered with multi-noded glandular hairs on the upper part and the inflorescence axis. Leaves are alternate; sessile; leaf blades are oblong, 10-20cm long, 3-5cm wide, acuminate to caudate-acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base with distinct, slightly amplexicaulous serrations on the margin, glabrous on both sides or sparsely hairy on the upper side. Inflorescence terminal, long tail-shaped; corolla white, yellowish white, greenish yellow to orange-yellow, 6-8mm long, bowed forward at a 30° angle, the upper end of the inner surface of the tube is hairy, the eaves are 2-3mm long, the upper lip is 3-lobed, the central lobe is ovate, straight or slightly hooded, the lobes on both sides are upright or rolled back to the side, the lower lip is linear-lanceolate and reflexed; 2 stamens, protruding, filaments are hairy, and the anthers are about 2.5mm long. The capsule is oval in shape, about 4 mm long. The seeds are angular and have a transparent and reticular seed coat. Flowering period is July-August.
