Cymes terminal or extra-axillary; calyx shallowly cup-shaped, 5-lobed, calyx teeth triangular; corolla purple, about 1 cm in diameter, with 5 green spots at the base of the rim, 5 deep lobes at the apex, lobes lanceolate; filaments short, anthers oblong; ovary ovate, style slender, stigma capitate. The berries are round, about 1 cm in diameter, and red when ripe: the seeds are kidney-shaped. The flowering period is between summer and autumn, and the fruit ripening period is late autumn.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: It grows on barren slopes, hillsides, valleys, waterside, roadsides and under sparse woods on cliffs.
