The panicle is about 10 cm long, ovate or pyramidal; the spikelets are light yellow-brown, shiny, about 5 mm long, containing 3 florets, the lower 2 are male, and the terminal ones are bisexual; the spikelet axis is disjointed from the glumes, but does not break between the florets, and the 3 florets fall off at the same time; the glumes are almost equal in length, membranous, broadly ovate, pointed at the apex, with 1-3 veins; the male florets contain 3 male blue, the lemma is slightly shorter than the glumes, and the upper part is finely hairy; the bisexual florets contain 2 stamens, the lemma is about 3.5 mm long, and the upper part is shortly hairy.
