[Source] Medicinal material source: It is the root of the Theaceae plant Camellia sinensis.

[Original morphology] A pointed tea shrub, 2-3mm high, with glabrous twigs. Leaves are alternate; petioles are 2-5mm long and glabrous; leaf blades are leathery, oblong, elliptical or elliptical-lanceolate, 2.5-6.5cm long, 1.5-3cm wide, with long tail-pointed apex, cuneate base, serrated margins, midrib concave on the surface and convex on the back. The flowers are white, 1-2 at the terminal or axillary, with short petioles and a diameter of 3-4cm; 4-5 bracts, glabrous; 5-6 sepals, 4-5mm long, arranged in a cup shape, persistent and glabrous; 5 petals, 2-2.4cm long, connate at the base, obovate, glabrous; many stamens, separate filaments, connected to the petals only at the base; ovary glabrous, style apex shallowly lobed into 3 pieces. The capsule is nearly spherical, about 1.5 cm in diameter. The seeds are light brown and about 1 cm in diameter.
