[Original morphology] Sharp-leaved Sichuan yellow yew is a shrub or small tree, 3-4m tall; the terminal buds and young branches are densely covered with gray-yellow flat soft hairs. Leaves are alternate; petiole 5-7mm long, densely covered with yellow-brown hairs; leaf blade oblong-ovate, 7-10cm long, 2-3cm wide, apex caudate-long acuminate, base cuneate, entire, glabrous on the surface, covered with yellow-brown long soft hairs on the back, with 11-12 pairs of lateral veins. The flowers are white, solitary in the leaf axils, with curved pedicels, covered with long soft hairs, 1-1.8cm long, sepals are broadly ovate, 5 pieces, covered with soft hairs on the back, obtuse at the apex, and with eyelashes on the edges; the middle part of the back of the petals is covered with flat silky hairs; the ovary is spherical, with sparse soft hairs, the style is undivided, glabrous, and about 9mm long. The berry is about 1 cm in diameter, and the seeds are light reddish brown and shiny.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows on hillsides, in forests beside ditches or in thickets.
