Isatis root Chinese medicine

The aqueous solution of the extract has an inhibitory effect on the common cold virus[4]. It has inhibitory and killing effects on epidemic meningitis B virus[5].

Isatis root also has inhibitory effects on a variety of bacteria. The water extract has different degrees of inhibitory effect on Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus[5], Octacocin, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Shigella dysenteriae (Shigella, Freundli), Enterococcus dysenteriae, etc. The acetone extract has a similar effect and is effective against hemolytic streptococci (all using the agar plate method). Its antibacterial effect on type A meningococci is similar to that of garlic and honeysuckle. It has a significant inhibitory effect on influenza virus PR8 strain and Jingke 68-1 strain. 2. Effects on cardiovascular system

Experiments have shown that this product can increase the perfusion volume of isolated rabbit ears and rat lower limbs, improve rabbit mesenteric microcirculation, lower the blood pressure of anesthetized rabbits, reduce capillary permeability, and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption in mice.

3. Inhibits platelet aggregation

Isatis root has a significant inhibitory effect on ADP-induced platelet aggregation in rabbits. Uridine, hypoxanthine, pyrimidine, salicylic acid, etc. isolated from Radix Isatidis also showed certain inhibitory activity on ATP-induced rabbit platelet aggregation. At a concentration of 0.21 mg/kg, the inhibition rates were 18.2%, 24.2%, 10.8% and 20%, respectively.
