The cymes usually have 3 flowers, with slender peduncles 2-4 cm long; the flowers are purple-red, about 7 mm in diameter, with 4-5 bases; the petals are oval with nearly entire margins; the stamens have no filaments, and the anthers have 1 chamber; the disk is flat and thick.
