[Original form] Viburnum is a deciduous shrub, up to 3m tall. The bark is gray-brown; the long buds are covered by 2 pairs of scales; the young branches are covered with stellate hairs. Leaves opposite; petiole 10-15cm long; leaves broadly obovate, obovate or broadly ovate, 3-10cm long, 2-6cm wide; leaves broadly obovate, obovate or broadly ovate, 3-10cm long, 2-6cm wide, apex acute or acuminate, base broadly cuneate, nearly rounded or nearly cordate, margin triangular serrations, sparsely covered with short soft hairs or stellate hairs above, with small yellow glandular dots and stellate hairs below, especially dense hairs on veins, with tufts of hairs in vein axils, 5-8 pairs of lateral veins reaching the tip of the teeth. The inflorescence is densely compound cymes, growing on the top of short branches with one pair of leaves, with a diameter of 4-10cm; the peduncle is 1-2 (-3) cm long, with 5 first-level radiating branches, and the flowers are borne on the 3rd-4th-level radiating branches; the calyx is tubular, about 1mm long, and the calyx margin has 5 teeth; the corolla is white and slightly yellow, radial, 4-5mm in diameter, and 5 deeply lobed; there are 5 stamens, which are higher than the corolla; the style is higher than the calyx teeth, and the stigma is 3-lobed. The drupe is red, oval-ovate, 7-8mm long; the core is flat, oval, with 3 shallow ventral grooves and 2 shallow dorsal grooves. The flowering period is May-June, and the fruiting period is August-October.

【Functions and indications】Removing blood stasis and swelling; detoxifying. Mainly used for traumatic injury; toothache; lymphadenitis
