[Original form] A large terrestrial fern, about 3 meters tall. The rhizome is dark brown, horizontal, densely covered with brown scales; the leaves are large, hard and papery, and bipinnate; the petiole is dark brown, densely covered with reddish brown scales, and then becomes smooth; the pinnae are oblong, about 1m long and 20cm wide; the pinnae are numerous, alternate, lanceolate, 14-18cm long, 2.4cm wide, and deeply pinnate; the lobes are 50-60 pairs, alternate, 1-1.4cm long, about 2mm wide, lanceolate or narrowly lanceolate, entire, slightly curled after drying, and confluent at the base; the lateral veins are forked, nearly horizontal and obliquely spreading; the rachis is brown-brown, initially covered with reddish brown scales, with long eyelashes on the edges. The sporangium group is round, composed of 3-4 sporangia, born between the midrib and the leaf margin on the back of the pinna, attached to the upper veins of the base, arranged in a row on both sides of the main vein, and covered with hairs.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing by streams or under forests at an altitude of 400-1700m.
