Leaves have 3 leaflets, rarely 4-5; petiole 3-12cm long; leaflets leathery, oblong-elliptic to oblong-ovate, 5-12cm long; leaflets leathery, oblong-elliptic to oblong-ovate, 5-12cm long, 2-6cm wide, apex short acuminate, base broadly cuneate, dark green above, grayish white below, glabrous, margin sparsely and irregularly serrated, lateral veins about 8 pairs, upper less obvious than below; petiolules 3-10mm long, glabrous. Umbel is single and terminal, with many flowers; peduncle is 3-10cm long; pedicel is 0.5-2cm long; flower is white; calyx is glabrous, with 5 small teeth on the edge; petals are 5, triangular-ovate, recurved when flowering; stamens are 5; ovary has 5 chambers, and styles are all fused into a column. The fruit is spherical, 5-sided, black, and the style is persistent. The flowering period is from May to August, and the fruiting period is from August to October.
