【Original form】Plant height is 60-90cm. The rhizome is short, erect or obliquely ascending, densely covered with dark brown, lanceolate, ciliate scales. Leaves are clustered; petiole 25-35cm long, straw-colored, sparsely scaled upward; leaf blade thick papery, oblong, 40-65cm long, 20-25cm wide, covered with fibrous scales along the rachis, once pinnate; pinnae 7-8 pairs, alternate or nearly opposite inferiorly, with short petioles, the lower ones are larger, 10-20cm long, 4-5cm wide, sickle-shaped and broad-lanceolate, pinnae above the middle are short-lanceolate, short-tailed at the apex, with irregular coarse serrations on the edges, base rounded cuneate or asymmetrically cuneate, with ear-like protrusions on the upper side; leaf veins are reticulate. The sori are borne on the veinlets and scattered on the back of the pinnae; the sori are brown with crenate edges.
