[Source] Medicinal material source: the whole herb with roots of the Apiaceae plant, the Umbelliferae family.

[Original form] Perennial herb, about 40cm tall. There are rhizomes; stems 1-3, striated. The leaves are almost all basal, with petioles 5-8cm long and broad membranous sheaths at the base; the leaf blades are rhombic, three to four times pinnately divided in a nearly ternate manner, one lobe has a petiole, and the last lobe is narrow. Compound umbel; no involucral bracts; 2-4 involucral bracts of varying sizes; umbels with 2-4 flowers, pedicels of unequal length; calyx teeth awl-shaped, of varying sizes; petals white, of unequal length, with infolded ligules; style erect. The fruit is narrowly ovate, with only one carpel developed and 1-3 oil tubes in each groove. Flowering and fruiting period is from March to May.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing under forests, beside ditches and on shady and moist rocks at an altitude of 680-2400m.
