[Source] Medicinal material source: The root or stem of the Araceae plant.

[Original form] Split-leaf cliff horn vine, an epiphytic vine. The stem is stout, 3-5cm thick, green on the back, yellow on the ventral side, with ring-shaped nodes, 1-3mm wide, yellow-green in color, and many fleshy aerial roots, with internodes 1-2cm long. Petiole jointed, sheathed; leaf blade on young branch rounded, about 16cm long, about 13cm wide, apex acuminate, entire; leaf blade on mature branch ovate-oblong, ovate in outline, 60-70cm long, 40-50cm wide, apex acute, base shallowly cordate, green and shiny on the surface, light green on the back, midrib sunken on the ventral side, raised on the back; unequal pinnae deeply lobed to midrib, lobes 6-9 (-15) pairs, middle lobes unequal linear, upward curved, slightly narrow at base, nearly truncate at apex, acuminate on upper side, with convex apex, more than 20cm long, 3-5cm wide, lobes gradually narrowing upwards, basal lobes wider, often up to 6-7cm. Inflorescence axillary, sturdy, green, cylindrical stalk, 10-20cm long, 1.5-3cm thick; spathe yellow, fleshy, ovate-oblong, 17-20cm long, 10-12cm wide, rolled in bud, and unfolded into a boat-shaped inflorescence; spadix sessile, green, cylindrical, 15-16cm long, 2-3cm thick, obtuse at the apex, oblique at the base; flowers bisexual, without perianth; 4 stamens, linear filaments, yellow anthers; ovary hexagonal-conical, with obvious style, longitudinal stigma, yellow. The infructescence is thick and stick-shaped, up to 20 cm long; the berries are conical and wedge-shaped, greenish-white, transparent white or yellow at the bottom, 1.8 cm long, 5 cm wide at the top, and gradually narrow in the center to a persistent style about 1 mm high. The flowering period is from May to August, and the fruit matures in the summer and autumn of the following year.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown below 2200m above sea level, commonly found in monsoon forests and subtropical valley evergreen broad-leaved forests, crawling on the ground, on rocks, or clinging to tree trunks.
