During the Spring Festival holiday this year, the business volume of the national postal express industry maintained a good growth trend, with more than 1.9 billion express parcels collected and delivered. According to data from the State Post Bureau, from January 28 to February 4, 1.927 billion express parcels were collected and delivered nationwide. Among them, 1.145 billion express parcels were collected, a year-on-year increase of 31%, and 782 million express parcels were delivered, a year-on-year increase of 26.7%.

Although the Spring Festival period is the trough of the annual express delivery business volume, the growth rate is still impressive, with an average daily express delivery volume of nearly 250 million pieces.

The delivery of New Year’s goods remains the main source of growth in express delivery business during the Spring Festival. The application scenarios of express delivery are becoming more abundant, and diversified demands such as cultural tourism and WeChat gift-giving will continue to emerge.

It is reported that during this year's Spring Festival, express delivery companies such as SF Express, JD.com, STO Express, and ZTO Express did not stop operations, ensuring transportation during the holiday, but the fees increased depending on the situation of each company.

With the end of the Spring Festival holiday, major domestic express delivery companies have gradually ended their Spring Festival mode and switched their network operations to daily mode.

Distribution centers and outlets are gradually returning to normal, and the express delivery business is expected to grow around the fifteenth day of the first lunar month.

In addition, during the 22 days of the Spring Festival travel rush (January 14 to February 4), the national postal express industry has collected and delivered 16.681 billion parcels.
