It has the effects of drying dampness and resolving phlegm, dispelling wind and calming the nerves, resolving phlegm and dispersing nodules. It can treat phlegm congestion caused by stroke, strabismus, hemiplegia, tetanus, and can be used externally to disperse nodules and reduce swelling, and snake bites.

Arisaema has the effects of dispelling wind, calming the nerves, reducing swelling and dispersing nodules. It is mainly used to treat hemiplegia caused by stroke, epilepsy, convulsions, tetanus, injuries from falls, or insect bites.

1. Tiannanxing treats cold phlegm cough, deep pulse, dark complexion, urgent and painful urination, cold feet and heart palpitations: Tiannanxing (washed), Pinellia (washed), 1 liang each, 1 liang of cinnamon (peeled off). Grind the above into fine powder, steam cake and make pills the size of tung seeds. Take 30 to 50 pills each time with ginger soup after meals. (Ji Gu Jia Zhen, Jiang Gui Pills)

2. Treat cough with heat phlegm, rapid pulse, red face, irritability, heartache, dry lips and mouth, frequent laughter: 1 liang of Arisaema (washed with decoction), 1 liang of Pinellia (washed with decoction), 1 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis. Grind the above into fine powder, soak with ginger juice and steam cake, and make pills the size of tung seeds. Take 50 to 70 pills each time with ginger soup after meals. (Xiaohuang Pills in "Baomingji")
