The efficacy and function of Usnea coarse

After thousands of years of sedimentation and accumulation, the types and quantities of Chinese medicine have become quite astonishing. Therefore, choosing Chinese medicine to treat some difficult and complicated diseases always has a very good effect. Next, I would like to recommend a Chinese medicine, Usnea coarse-skinned.

[Source] Medicinal material source: It is the lichen of Usnea coarse-barked, a plant of the Usneaceae family.

[Original form] The lichen body is filamentous, pendulous, hard, and more than 30 cm long. The surface is light gray-green or light yellow-green with earthy brown tint and dull. No primary appressorium was seen, only secondary appressorium. The main branches are extremely short and inconspicuous; the branches above the main branches are filamentous; the secondary branches are equal in length and dichotomous, with few branches, often extending in a single parallel manner, and the sides of the branches are densely covered with small cilia of varying lengths, 2-5mm long, sometimes up to 1cm; there are no papillae on the branches, and there are annular cracks or they become bran-like due to cortical rupture, and often peel off, resulting in a very rough surface. The cortex is thin and light yellow-green, and the medulla is white and loose. The central axis is pale white, the cross section is oblate, elastic, and accounts for about 1/3 of the branch diameter.
