[Original form] Perennial herb. The stem is erect, 40-80cm high, and the whole plant is hairless. Quadrangular, with narrow wings and black glandular dots on the edges, many branches above the middle, and the branches are extremely open. Basal leaves are spoon-shaped, 1-6cm long, 0.6-3.8cm wide, with obtuse apex and base extending downward into a wing petiole. Flowers are often absent. Stem leaves are opposite and sessile. Leaves are lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, rarely oblong-lanceolate, 4-13cm long, 1-3cm wide, with slightly acute or obtuse apex, obtuse or ear-shaped semi-amplexicaulous base, densely covered with black granular glandular dots on both sides. The raceme grows at the end of the stem and branches, 8-13cm long; the bracts are leaf-shaped, lanceolate, gradually becoming smaller upwards, longer than or nearly as long as the pedicels; the pedicels are 3-5mm long; the calyx is 4-5mm long, 5-partite nearly reaching the base, the lobes are linear-lanceolate, acuminate at the apex and curled back; the corolla is white, about 7mm long, the basal fusion part is about 2.5mm long, 5-partite, the lobes are ovate-oblong; the stamens are 5, nearly as long as the corolla, the filaments are attached to the middle of the corolla, the separated part is about 3mm long, the anthers are glandular, about 1.5mm long, and the connective tip has a callous tip; the ovary is glabrous, superior, 1-chambered, the style is about 6mm long, and the stigma is swollen. The capsule is spherical, about 3mm in diameter. Seeds black-purple. The flowering period is from May to July, and the fruiting period is from August to October.
