【Original form】Climbing shrub, 2-3m high. Branchlets slender, striate, glabrous to densely pubescent. Leaves are opposite, trifoliate; petioles are 1-4cm long and grooved; leaflets are leathery, broadly ovate, ovate to lanceolate, acuminate to caudate-acuminate at apex, rounded or slightly cordate at base, leaf margins are recurved, smooth on both sides or appressed with short soft hairs beneath; terminal leaflets are 6-12.5cm long, 1.3-4cm wide, and petiolules are 0.8-2.5cm long; lateral leaflets are smaller, with petiolules 0.5-5mm long. The inflorescence or corymbose cyme is terminal or axillary, with 3-10 flowers, sparsely to densely pubescent; the bracts are linear, 0.5-5mm long; the calyx is glabrous to densely pubescent, with small calyx teeth, obtuse or pointed, no more than 2mm long; the corolla is white, with a corolla tube 1.2-1.5cm long, 5-6 lobes, ovate, 5-6mm long, 3-4mm wide, with obtuse or acute tips. The fruit is oval or nearly spherical, 0.8-1.2cm long and 0.5-1.2cm in diameter, and purple-black when ripe. The flowering period is from June to October, and the fruiting period is from August to October.
