【Original form】 Shrub, 1-3m high. Palmate compound leaves, alternate; petiole 8-16cm long, glabrous; leaflets 6-11, papery or thin leathery, oblong-elliptic, obovate-oblong, oblong-lanceolate, ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 7-17cm long, 1.5-5cm wide, apex long acuminate, base cuneate, obtuse to nearly circular, glabrous on both sides or sparsely pubescent beneath, margin sparsely serrulate or wavy obtuse or entire, petiolule 0.6-5cm long. The panicle is terminal, with the main axis and branches densely covered with grayish white stellate hairs, which gradually fall off later; the umbels are arranged in racemes; the bracts fall early; the peduncle and pedicel are covered with grayish white stellate hairs; the bracteoles are persistent; the calyx has 5 small teeth on the edge; the petals are white with slightly purple veins; there are 5 stamens; the ovary has 5 chambers, and the styles are fused; the disk is slightly raised. The fruit is nearly spherical and purple-red. The flowering period is from November to December, and the fruiting period is from January to February of the following year.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Growing in valley thickets, forest edges or sparse forests at an altitude of 800-1500m.
