【Original form】 Evergreen climbing or creeping shrub. Leaves are dimorphic; adventitious roots grow on nutrient branches, climbing on walls or trees, leaves are small and thin, ovate-cordate, about 2.5cm long, membranous, slightly asymmetrical at the base, gradually pointed at the apex, and very short petioles; there are no adventitious roots on reproductive branches, the leaves are larger, alternate, and the petioles are 5-10mm long; there are 2 stipules, lanceolate, covered with yellow filamentous hairs; the leaf blade is thick papery, ovate-elliptic, 5-10cm long, 2-3.5cm wide, with acute to obtuse apex, rounded to shallowly cordate at the base, entire, glabrous above, and covered with yellow soft hairs below; there are 3 basal veins, 4-5 pairs of lateral veins, sunken on the surface, raised on the back, and the reticulate veins are honeycomb-shaped. The inflorescence receptacle is solitary in the leaf axil, pear-shaped or obovate, 3-6cm long, 3-5cm wide, truncated at the top, with a slightly short blunt head or umbilical protrusion, the base sometimes contracted into a short stalk, covered with short yellow soft hairs when young, green with light yellow or slightly red when mature, basal bracts persistent, densely covered with long soft hairs; male flowers and gall flowers grow on the same inflorescence receptacle inner wall mouth, numerous, arranged in several rows, pedunculate, tepals 2-3; stamens 2, filaments short; gall flowers pedunculate, tepals 3, styles lateral; female flowers grow on the inner wall of the inflorescence receptacle of another plant, pedunculate long, tepals 4-5. Achenes are nearly spherical and mucilaginous. The flowering period is May-June, and the fruiting period is September-October.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: grows on trees in the wilderness, on broken walls near villages, or on limestone slopes.
