[Source] It is the roots, stems and leaves of the leguminous plant Millettia mullein . Harvested in summer and autumn.

【Original form】Climbing shrub. The stem has longitudinal lines and lenticels, and the young branches are pubescent. Odd-pinnate compound leaves, alternate; leaflets 9 to 11, obovate, ovate or oblong, 5 to 16 cm long, 3 to 6.5 cm wide, obtuse or slightly concave at apex, cuneate or obtuse at base, glabrous above, pubescent with yellow or brown hairs beneath. The racemes are axillary, sometimes terminal panicles, 10 to 25 cm long, covered with yellow-brown soft hairs; the flowers are 1.5 cm long, with pedicels and sepals covered with yellow-brown soft hairs; the corolla is pink, the back of the standard petal is covered with golden yellow hairs, there are no callus-like appendages at the base, there are short ears on both sides of the base of the wing petals, and the back of the keel petal is covered with a bundle of long stiff hairs; there is a bundle of stamens; the pistil is densely covered with soft hairs. The pods are oblong, 5 to 9 cm long and nearly glabrous. Flowering period is from May to July.

[Habitat distribution] It grows in semi-shaded sparse woods or in thickets along streams. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other places.
