This product is bitter and cold in nature, clears lung heat, is sweet and cold in nature, nourishes yin, and cools and moistens dry lungs. Therefore, it can be used for dry-heat damaging the lungs, dry cough with little sputum. In mild cases, it can be used together with apricot kernel, adenophora, Fritillaria, etc., such as Sangxing Decoction; in severe cases, it can be used together with gypsum, Ophiopogon japonicus, donkey-hide gelatin, etc., such as Qingzao Jiufei Decoction. (3) Used for dizziness caused by liver yang, red and blurred vision. This product is bitter and cold, and enters the liver meridian, and has the effect of calming down liver yang, so it can be used to treat hyperactivity of liver yang, headache and dizziness, and is often used together with chrysanthemum, semen cassiae, white peony root, etc.; this product can dispel wind-heat, clear away liver fire, nourish yin, cool blood and improve eyesight, so it is combined with chrysanthemum, prunella vulgaris, plantain seed and other liver-clearing and eye-improving ingredients to treat wind-heat in the liver meridian, red eyes, astringent pain, tears and other symptoms caused by liver fire; combined with black sesame which nourishes essence and blood, that is, Sangma Pills, it can also be used for deficiency symptoms of liver yin deficiency and blurred vision. It is used for symptoms such as vomiting blood and epistaxis caused by blood heat. This product is sweet and cold, and has the effect of cooling blood and stopping bleeding.
