【Original morphology】 Plant height 40-80cm. The rhizome is short, erect or obliquely ascending, and is densely covered with dark brown linear scales at the base of the petiole and fibrous at the tip. Leaves are clustered; petiole 20-45cm long, brown straw color, with sparse scales upward and on the rachis; leaf blade is nearly leathery, ovate-oblong, 25-35cm long, 15-20cm wide, with the apex sharply narrowed to a long tail and pinnate-lobed, the terminal pinnae are not narrowed at the base, and are pinnate-lobed twice to three times; lateral pinnae are 10-12 pairs, the lower ones are petiolate, the base pair is the largest, the pinnae gradually shorten upwards, lanceolate, once pinnate to deeply lobed; pinnules are obliquely spreading, sickle-lanceolate, the lower side of the base is the longest, and the margins are shallowly lobed; leaf veins are pinnate. The sporangium is attached above the middle of the veinlet, located at the bend of the lobe, and arranged in a row on each side of the rachis; the sori is round and kidney-shaped, with an entire margin.
