The inflorescence capitula is spherical, solitary in the leaf axils, 4 to 4.5 cm in diameter when flowering, the inflorescence stalk is 3.5 to 6.5 cm long, with brown-yellow coarse hairs; the flowers are light yellow, about 1.6 cm long, the calyx tube is long, 5-lobed; the corolla is tubular-funnel-shaped, 5-lobed. Lobes imbricate; stamens 5; ovary inferior, fusiform, 2-locular. The capsule has a long stalk, is fusiform, 1 to 1.5 cm long, and has coarse hairs. Flowering period is summer.
