The project "Research on the Biological Characteristics and Active Substances of Ganoderma Lucidum" which is the first domestic and foreign research project to use Ganoderma Lucidum MP-01 extract to conduct anti-SARS virus research has successfully passed the appraisal. The project was led by Researcher Song Airong of our school, and the research invented new antiviral active products with independent intellectual property rights and their preparation methods. On December 22, commissioned by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Education invited relevant experts to form an appraisal committee to complete the acceptance appraisal of the project at our school. Vice President Song Xiyun attended the appraisal meeting.

The appraisal committee is composed of nine experts and professors, including Wei Jiangchun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a researcher at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The experts visited the laboratory and pilot site and conducted pilot acceptance of the research project. Experts believe that the project purchased equipment for secondary pure water preparation, fungal liquid fermentation, extraction, purification, drying and capsule packaging, and built a 1,440-square-meter pilot workshop. The project process design is reasonable, the technical route is feasible, the pilot technical information is complete, and the test data is accurate and reliable.
