【Alias】 Zabai (Tibetan name)

[Source] It is the whole herb of the Polypodiaceae plant. Harvest in summer and autumn and sun-dried.

[Original morphology] Epiphytic herb, about 20 cm long. The rhizome is long and horizontal, densely covered with scales; the scales are ovate-lanceolate, gradually pointed at the apex, rounded at the base, and have prominent teeth on the edges. The leaves are long oblanceolate, 20-25 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, with a long tail-like acuminate tip, a gradually narrow base, and a short petiole; the leaves are sub-leathery and the veins are hidden. The sporangium is round and located between the midrib and the margin.

[Habitat distribution] Growing in moist rock crevices or on tree bark. Distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan and other places.

【Nature and flavor】 Slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly cold.

[entry into meridians] Enters the liver, heart and lung meridians.

【Functions and indications】 Clears away heat and promotes diuresis, removes dampness and dredges the meridians, reduces swelling and stops bleeding, and removes sulfur poison. It is used to treat gonorrhea, hematuria, dysentery, tuberculosis, cough, vomiting blood due to internal injuries, and wounds.

[Usage and Dosage] For oral use: decoct in water, 3 to 5 qian. For external use: grind into powder and spread on the affected area.

[Additional prescription] ① Treat hematuria: combine Longwawei with Dianthus superbus, Rubia cordifolia and Paeonia lactiflora, and decoct them into a water decoction for oral administration.
