According to tests conducted by the Chinese College of Preventive Medicine, when compared with 13 kinds of vegetables including celery, cabbage, spinach, cabbage, rapeseed, leek, cucumber, eggplant, carrot, and tomato, the stem tips rank first in 13 of the 14 nutrients, including protein, fat, calories, cellulose carbohydrates, calcium, iron, phosphorus, carotene, vitamin C, B1, B2, and niacin.

The sweet potato stem tip is rich in mucus protein, which has a protective effect on the human digestive tract, respiratory tract, joint cavity, membrane lubrication and blood vessel strength. This substance can prevent arteriosclerosis caused by the deposition of lipids on the arterial walls, stop the atrophy of connective tissue in organs such as the liver and kidneys, and enhance the body's immunity.
