[Original form] Oblong-leaved euonymus shrub or small tree, up to 7m tall. Leaves are opposite; petioles are up to 8mm long; leaves are nearly leathery, shiny, oblong-elliptic or elliptical, sometimes long obovate, 6-15cm long, 2-4.5m wide, gradually pointed at the apex, with fine teeth on the edge, and obvious vein network. The cymes are multi-branched, the branches are flat, the peduncle and branches are obviously square and relatively strong; the flowers are yellow-green, 5-7mm in diameter, 4-merous, the disk is square, and the stamens have very short filaments. The capsule is inverted cone-shaped, about 8 mm long, slightly quadrangular, and truncated at the tip. The seeds have an orange-red aril.
