[Original form] Perennial herb, 70-150cm tall. The root is oblong, thick, up to 15cm long, 1.5-2.5cm in diameter, yellowish brown, and fragrant. The stem is erect, finely striated, and glabrous. Basal leaves are up to 30cm long; stem leaves are ternate, one- to two-pinnate, with the final segments cordate-ovate, 5-8cm long, 4-6cm wide, with apex mostly caudate-pointed, base cordate, edges with round serrations with small tips, back side light green, both sides slightly covered with scaly hairs along the veins; leaves on the upper part of the stem are simplified into three leaflets. Compound umbels terminal or lateral; 3-6 bracts, linear-lanceolate, with membranous margins; 14-18 rays, with scaly hairs; 6-8 bracteoles, the same shape as the bracts; umbels with about 20 flowers; calyx teeth not obvious; petals green-white, obcordate; stylopodium conical, styles long, forked. The double-hanging fruit is oblong, dark brown, about 8mm long and 4mm wide, with narrow wings on the fruit ribs, 1 oil tube in each rib groove, and 2 commissures. The flowering period is August, and the fruiting period is August-September.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in hillside grasslands or shady and wet places beside streams at an altitude of 3500-4000m.
