What are the medicinal effects of the fruit of the stone tiger?

What are the medicinal effects of the fruit of the stone tiger?

If many people have not heard of Shihu, then you may be very familiar with Evodia rutaecarpa. That's right, Evodia rutaecarpa is the dried, nearly mature fruit of Shihu or Evodia rutaecarpa sparse hair, and its efficacy cannot be underestimated. For example, it can warm the middle and relieve pain, treat oral ulcers, toothache, eczema, etc. It is usually ground into powder and decocted for oral administration. It tastes spicy and bitter, but good medicine is bitter but good for the disease. Therefore, Evodia rutaecarpa is a rare good medicine.

1. History

Before getting back to the topic, let us first learn some historical allusions (it is said that learning Chinese medicine in this way is conducive to memory) - According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Evodia rutaecarpa originally grew in the State of Wu and was called Wu Yu. One year, the State of Wu presented Wu Yu as a tribute to the State of Chu. The King of Chu was very displeased when he saw it. He did not listen to the explanation of the Wu minister and drove him out. Fortunately, there was a doctor named Zhu from the State of Chu who was well versed in medicine. He went after the victim and saved the Evodia rutaecarpa and planted it in his own yard. One day, the King of Chu caught a cold and his old illness relapsed. He had unbearable stomach pain and all medicines were ineffective. At this time, Doctor Zhu cured the King of Chu's illness by boiling Wu Yu into a decoction. When the King of Chu learned about this, he immediately sent people to the State of Wu to apologize and called on the State of Chu to widely plant Wu Yu. In order to let people remember Doctor Zhu's contribution forever, the King of Chu changed the name of Wu Yu to Evodia rutaecarpa.

Look at it, the Evodia rutaecarpa that “embellishes everyone but one person” is indeed not to be underestimated!

2. Medicinal value

Who should not take it: People with yin deficiency and excess fire should not take it.

The more you look at it, the more headache you feel, right? And there is also a contraindication that everyone is afraid of - those with yin deficiency and excess fire. In fact, there is no need to be afraid. As the old saying in traditional Chinese medicine goes, "Yin deficiency causes internal heat." The "Inner Canon of Medicine" says: "After the age of forty, the yin energy is halved." First of all, we are talking about external use rather than internal administration, so it is safer; secondly, for children who are full of vitality and have abundant yin essence, there is no need to worry too much if they use Evodia rutaecarpa externally for occasional minor illnesses.

Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. It is effective in treating impotence caused by external invasion of cold evil, blockage of kidney orifices, and dysfunction of tendons.

In short, Evodia rutaecarpa is warm in nature. Judging from its commonly used acupuncture points such as Yongquan, Shenque and Gongsun, it is meant to guide fire back to the origin and treat the upper disease from the lower part. At the same time, I would like to mention again why people with yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire should avoid using Chinese medicine. Since ancient times, the quality of Chinese medicine has not been judged by its price, and there is not even a simple definition of tonic and poison (otherwise there would not be the saying that ginseng kills without fault, while rhubarb saves people!). The actual person's physique is the most critical. In other words, as long as we try to accurately identify the physique of a good person, the more acute the disease, especially the children's fever, cough, pharyngitis, which are the problems that are most likely to make parents "paralyzed", often have immediate effects when used, and deserve our due attention.
