The stem is usually hexagonal, covered with flat strigosus, usually unbranched, and the leaves are usually 3 in whorls; the petiole is 4-5mm long, densely covered with strigosus; the leaf blade is hard and papery, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, obtuse or nearly rounded at the base, 6-13cm long, 2-3.2cm wide, entire, ciliate, covered with strigosus on both sides, 5-veined, the basal vein on the leaf surface is concave, the lateral veins are not obvious, the basal vein on the dorsal surface is obvious and raised, the lateral veins are slightly raised, only the veins are covered with hairs, and the rest have less obvious small protrusions. Flowering and fruiting period is August-September.
