[Properties] This product is oval or spherical, 2 to 3.5 cm long and 1.5 to 2.5 cm in diameter. The surface is dark red, slightly shiny, and has irregular wrinkles. The base is sunken and has a short fruit stalk. The exocarp is thin, the mesocarp is brown or light brown, fleshy, soft, rich in sugar and oily. The fruit core is spindle-shaped, with sharp points at both ends and is hard. It has a slight fragrance and a sweet taste.

[Identification] Take 2g of the powder of this product, add 10ml of petroleum ether (60-90℃), soak for 10 minutes, ultrasonically treat for about 10 minutes, filter, discard the petroleum ether liquid, dry the residue, add 20ml of ether, soak for 1 hour, ultrasonically treat for about 15 minutes, filter, and concentrate the filtrate to 2ml as the test solution. Take another oleanolic acid reference substance and add ethanol to make a solution containing 1 mg per 1 ml as the reference substance solution. According to the thin layer chromatography method (Appendix Ⅵ B), 10 μl of the test solution and 3 μl of the reference solution were respectively spotted on the same silica gel G thin layer plate, and toluene-ethyl acetate-glacial acetic acid (14:4:0.5) was used as the developing agent. The plate was developed, taken out, dried, sprayed with 10% ethanolic sulfuric acid solution, and heated until the spots were clearly colored. In the test sample chromatogram, a spot of the same color appears at the corresponding position in the reference sample chromatogram.
