【Original form】 Shrub, 0.5-0.7m high. Stem cylindrical. The branches are crossed and opposite or dichotomously branched, the branchlets are scattered or hanging, the internodes are 4-6cm long and about 1mm thick. Leaves are opposite, thin leathery; petiole is short; leaf blade is lanceolate or sickle-shaped, rarely long ovate, 4.5-8cm long, 1-2.5cm wide, acuminate or nearly acute at apex, gradually narrow in the lower half, with 5-7 basal veins. Inflorescence is fan-shaped, with 1-3 axillary or terminal ones, and the peduncle is 2-5mm long; the involucre is boat-shaped, about 2mm long, with 3-5 flowers; the flowers are arranged in 1 row, the central 1-3 are female flowers, and the lateral ones are male flowers; the male flower buds are ovoid, about 1.5mm long, with 4 sepals, triangular, and round anthers attached to the lower half of the sepals; the female flower buds are elliptical, 2.5-3mm long; the receptacle is about 2mm long, gradually narrowing in the lower half, with 4 sepals, triangular, about 0.5mm long, and the stigma is nipple-shaped. The berries are yellow-green, 7-8mm long, obovoid or nearly spherical in the upper part, about 4mm in diameter, and suddenly narrowed into a stalk-like shape in the lower part, 2-4mm long, with a smooth skin. Flowering and fruiting period is from April to December.

[Habitat distribution] Ecological environment: Grown in mountain evergreen broad-leaved forests at an altitude of 200-1600m, parasitic on plants such as Castanea, Carle or Cinnamomum camphora. Distributed in South China, Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
