The benefits of wormwood foot bath

Mugwort, also known as Artemisia argyi, can be found in many places in China. It does not have high requirements for the growing environment and temperature. It generally grows in fields and roadsides. Mugwort is a perennial herb and a kind of wild wormwood. People have had the habit of using mugwort to treat diseases thousands of years ago. The moxibustion method used by the people to treat mugwort generally uses moxa wool.

There is also a folk custom that mugwort can drive away evil spirits. During the Dragon Boat Festival, people like to pick some mugwort and put it on door frames and in toilets to prevent people from being bitten by poisonous snakes, insects and the like. There is also a folk tradition of using mugwort for foot soaking. The following introduces the benefits of mugwort foot soaking to help more people understand it.

Soaking your feet in mugwort water can effectively eliminate false fire and cold fire, and can treat oral ulcers, sore throat, periodontitis, gingivitis, otitis media and other recurring diseases of the head and face that are related to false fire and cold fire. Whenever the above diseases occur, you can take a handful of mugwort leaves, boil them in water and then soak your feet, or take a quarter of the clear moxa sticks made of pure mugwort leaves, tear them into pieces and put them in a foot bath bucket, soak them with boiling water for a while, and then soak your feet in some warm water after the mugwort leaves are soaked. Soak until your whole body sweats slightly, but not profusely, and then drink more warm water. Generally, soak your feet 2-3 times in a row, that is, after 2-3 days. At the same time, drink more warm boiled water, do not eat cold food, and pay attention to rest. The discomforts in the head, face, and throat caused by false fire and cold fire will be significantly improved or disappear. Some people see that soaking your feet in mugwort leaves has so many benefits, so they soak their feet almost every day, which is not good either. For patients with severe cold and dampness in the body, it is okay to soak your feet in mugwort water once a week. You can also drink a cup of ginger and red dates water while soaking your feet in the mugwort water. This will remove the cold without causing gas.

Although mugwort is an inconspicuous plant in the fields and on the roadside, its medicinal value is no less than that of some precious Chinese herbal medicines. Many people with poor economic conditions rely on wild plants like mugwort to treat diseases. They can be used after picking them and simple processing at home. People have rich experience in using mugwort.
