Primary dysmenorrhea: 50 grams of white peony root and 5 grams of licorice. Decoction twice, concentrate the liquid to about 50 ml, take it twice on the day of menstruation, take it for 3 to 4 days in a row to relieve spasms and pain.

What to eat for dysmenorrhea? Eggs are effective in treating dysmenorrhea.

Biliary colic: usually a sudden onset of cholelithiasis. Grind equal parts of white peony root and licorice into fine powder and mix well. Take 15 grams each time and mix with water to make a thin paste. Boil it on low heat for several times, and drink after it cools down. Generally, pain can be relieved within 15 minutes after taking it, and there are no side effects.

Trigeminal neuralgia: It manifests as paroxysmal severe pain in one side of the cheek. When in pain, the patient closes his eyes, sheds tears, pouts his lips and clenches his teeth. The pain can stop for a few seconds and then resumes immediately. 30 grams of white peony root (fried with wine) and 12 grams of licorice (roasted with honey). Decoction in water, 3 times a day, for 5 consecutive doses.

Epigastric pain (acute gastric spasm): characterized by paroxysmal pain in the epigastric region, especially at night, with preference for pressing, and no problem with eating. 30 grams of white peony root and 9 grams of licorice. Decoction of medicine into 150 ml, take in two doses. After the first dose, take again 3 hours later. Generally, 1 to 2 doses can relieve pain.

Migraine (vascular headache): characterized by cramping pain, especially in the afternoon, often accompanied by irritability, frequent dreams, flushed face, tinnitus and other symptoms of Yin deficiency and liver hyperactivity. 45 grams of white peony root and 12 grams of licorice are decocted in water. Taking 6 doses in a row will reduce the pain. The headache will disappear after 12 doses.
