Windproof effect

Medicine is very common. There are many common medicines in life, especially for the treatment of some simple diseases. There are different brands. The choice of medicine should also be based on the needs of one's own disease. This will be of great help in improving the disease. So what are the effects of Fangfeng? Many people don’t know much about this. Such medicine is very helpful in treating diarrhea.

So what are the effects of windproof? It has many aspects of effect. Before choosing it, you need to have a good understanding of it so that when choosing it, you know how to use it best and benefit the healthy development of the human body.

Windproof effect :

1. It can induce sweat and stop sweating. "When using Fangfeng, it must be used together with Jingjie, because it can penetrate into the skin and disperse the pathogens" (see "Bencao Qiuzhen"). "If it is an exogenous disease, Magui is too hot and too strong; Yinqiao is too cold, Jingjie is the most suitable" (see "Shi Jinmo's Collection of Clinical Experience in Drugs"). It can be seen that Jingjie and Fangfeng are combined to reach the skin, induce sweat and disperse the pathogens, and the two complement each other. Zhang Yuansu treated exogenous infections of all seasons. He used Fangfeng combined with Qianghuo and other ingredients such as Jiuwei Qianghuo Decoction to treat exterior solidity without sweating. Liu Hejian treated triple-burner solid heat by using Fangfeng combined with Jingjie, Xiaoshi, and Huang (Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder). The former is an agent that relieves exterior symptoms and eliminates dampness and heat, while the latter is an agent that relieves both exterior and interior symptoms. Fangfeng combined with Astragalus and Atractylodes is called Yupingfeng Powder. The Astragalus in the formula strengthens the Wei, while with the Saposhnikovia divaricata, the evil can be driven away without external disturbances. With the Atractylodes macrocephala, the middle and interior can be strengthened, so that the spleen can be healthy and have a basis inside. As the saying goes, "Astragalus is for prevention and Atractylodes is for containment", it takes both internal and external factors into consideration and is truly a good recipe for consolidating the exterior and stopping sweating. The author used this prescription with ephedra root, dragon bone, oyster, floating wheat, and black plum to treat spontaneous sweating and night sweats, with good results.

2. It can stop diarrhea and promote bowel movements. Fangfeng combined with Chaihu, Qiangduhuo, etc. can disperse wind and dampness, raise clearness and stop diarrhea. As the Neijing says, "When the clear qi is in the lower part, diarrhea will occur" and "When the dampness prevails, wet diarrhea will occur." Wu Jutong used Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and added Saposhnikovia divaricata to raise the clear yang and stop diarrhea. Sun Yikui used Atractylodes and Fangfeng Decoction to treat diarrhea, also because Fangfeng can raise spleen yang and stop diarrhea. Common clinical symptoms include spleen and stomach deficiency, laziness, limb aches, loose stools, and frequent urination. Shengyang Yiwei Decoction (from "Discussion on the Spleen and Stomach") is used, which always works quickly. If diarrhea is caused by external injury and wind evil, liver wood invades spleen, food cannot be digested, and then the patient should use Tongxie Yaofang (Liu Caochuang's prescription quoted in "Yi Fang Jijie"), and use Fangfeng to soothe the spleen and drain the liver and overcome dampness, so it is the key medicine for guiding the meridians. Fangfeng combined with Zhishi (shell) can promote bowel movements. For example, the Soufeng Shunqi Pills in Taiping Shenghui Fang uses Saposhnikovia divaricata to raise the spleen's clear Qi, and is combined with Citrus aurantium and Rhubarb to relax the intestines and smooth the Qi, to treat wind constipation and qi constipation caused by stroke, causing the clear Yang to rise and the turbid Yin to descend. Wang Haogu used Fangfeng combined with Atractylodes and licorice to make a powder (Shenshu Powder), added ginger and scallion and boiled it for treatment of internal injuries caused by cold drinks, and external cold evil without sweating. In clinical practice, the author uses this prescription with Fructus Aurantii Immaturus (fruit) and malt to treat empty and distended feeling under the heart, so as to promote the flow of qi, eliminate fullness, and relieve food stagnation.

3. It can stop bleeding and promote menstruation. "Saposhnikovia divaricata, remove the reed head, roast it until it turns red, grind it into powder, and treat metrorrhagia" ("Experienced Prescriptions"). Because Saposhnikovia divaricata can raise the clear yang of the spleen, when fried until black, it enters the blood and enhances the hemostatic effect. Huaijiao Pills (from "Hejijufang") uses Fangfeng with Huaijiao, Sanyu, Zhike, etc. to treat hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse and intestinal bleeding. In clinical treatment of hemorrhoids and other conditions, the author uses Sophora japonica powder (from "Benshi Fang": Sophora japonica flower, Platycladus orientalis leaves, Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Citrus aurantium) plus equal parts of Saposhnikovia divaricata, Cimicifuga heracleifolia, and Rhubarb. Stir-fry them together until they turn black and keep their essence. Grind them into a very fine powder. Take 5 to 6 g every morning and evening on an empty stomach and mix with rice soup. It can not only enter the blood and stop bleeding, but also draw evil out of the qi, killing two birds with one stone. However, it is not suitable for people with bleeding gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as those with qi deficiency and yin deficiency.

4. Dispel wind, relieve exterior symptoms, eliminate dampness, relieve pain, relieve spasms and relieve itching.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the effects of Fangfeng. Therefore, when using such medicine, we can follow the above methods. However, it should be noted that when using such medicine, it should be used in moderation and not too much, otherwise it will be detrimental to human health.
