Herbs are also very helpful in treating diseases. Therefore, when choosing herbs, you need to understand all aspects of them so that there will be no other problems when using them. Many people don’t know much about herbs, so they use them casually, which is not helpful for treating diseases. So what are the effects and functions of lithospermum?

Lithospermum is a very common medicine. It is very helpful in treating diseases, so choosing it can be a good way to treat your own diseases. What are the effects and functions of Lithospermum? There are many aspects.

The efficacy and function of Lithospermum officinale :

For external use, Lithospermum officinale has the functions of resolving dead tissue and promoting tissue regeneration, detoxifying and relieving pain. It can treat ulcers caused by accumulation of heat and toxicity. Symptoms include pain on the ulcer surface, bright color of the ulcer, pus and rot almost gone, or external wounds that do not heal for a long time. I often use the Lithospermum officinale ointment in the "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China" for application, and it always works well.

Recipe: 50 grams of lithospermum, 15 grams each of angelica, siler, rehmannia, angelica dahurica, frankincense and myrrh. Except for lithospermum, frankincense and myrrh are crushed into fine powder and sieved; the other four ingredients such as angelica are chopped into pieces as appropriate, and 600 ml of edible vegetable oil are taken and fried in a pot until dry, and the residue is removed; moisten the lithospermum with water, fry it in a pot until the oil turns purple-red, remove the residue and filter. Add an appropriate amount of beeswax (2-4 grams of beeswax for every 10 grams of vegetable oil) and melt it. When it is warm, add the above powder and stir well. When using, spread it on gauze and apply it to the affected area, and change the dressing every 1 to 2 days. It can also be used to treat burns.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the effects and functions of lithospermum, so when choosing it, we must also be careful not to use it indiscriminately. If you want to be able to treat your own diseases well, you also need to understand the use of lithospermum, especially the amount used, you must not make mistakes.
