Dandelion has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, reducing swelling and dispersing nodules. Dandelion can be used as medicine, and its leaves can also be soaked in water and drunk to clear away heat and promote salivation. Pregnant women can also eat it, but it is a cold food, so people with poor stomachs should be careful to drink less.

Dandelion is the whole herb with roots of various perennial herbs of the Asteraceae family. Also known as yellow flowered gentian, gentian, gentian, and gentian. Nature and flavor: bitter, sweet, cold. It has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, eliminating carbuncle and dispersing nodules. It is commonly used in clinical practice for various diseases such as breast abscess, furuncle, urethritis, carbuncle swelling and pus, dysentery, and eye disease and swelling.

After years of clinical practice verification, the effective single prescriptions are summarized and introduced below for your reference.

1. Initial stage of mastitis (mastitis): 150g of dandelion, decocted in water, twice a day (separately take fresh dandelion root, add a little sugar, mash it, and apply it to the affected area).

2. Mumps: 15g of dandelion, decocted in water, twice a day.

3. Acute tonsillitis: 15g dandelion, 10g burdock seed, 3g each of puffball and raw licorice. Decoction in water, twice a day.

4. Dysentery: For red and white diarrhea, you can use 30g of dandelion and add appropriate amount of white sugar. Decoction in water, twice a day.

For amoebic dysentery, use 60g each of dandelion and capillaris, 30g of isatis indigotica, and 90g of gypsum. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, divided into 2 doses. 14 days as a course of treatment.

5. Vulvar pruritus: 30g each of dandelion and Dictamni bark, 20g each of Kochia scoparia and Phellodendron amurense, and 10g of alum. Boil the water and wash the affected area once in the morning and evening.

6. Pelvic inflammatory disease: 50g each of dandelion and purple gentian, 30g each of Patrinia scabra and Hedyotis diffusa, and 15g each of Sophora flavescens root. Decoction in water until it reaches 200ml. Use 100ml of the solution for enema once a day. Ten times constitute a course of treatment.

7. Carbuncle on the back: decocted 50g of dandelion in water, with rice wine as the guide, twice a day. At the same time, mash an appropriate amount of fresh dandelion and apply it to the affected area.

8. Urinary tract infection: 30g each of dandelion and centipede, 15g each of honeysuckle and salvia miltiorrhiza, and 6g of Cyperus rotundus. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, once in the morning, once at noon and once in the evening.

9. Carbuncle: For the initial stage of carbuncle, with redness, swelling and pain, you can use 15g each of dandelion, honeysuckle, wild chrysanthemum, and Viola yedoensis, and 6g of Gynura ovata, decocted in water, 1 dose per day, divided into 3 doses.
