Chinese patent medicine is a medicine made from traditional Chinese medicine. In fact, some traditional Chinese medicine practitioners do not include it in the scope of traditional Chinese medicine. For the convenience of taking, Chinese patent medicines have prescribed dosages and are used to treat thousands of people. This loses the characteristic of individualized treatment in traditional Chinese medicine and also has no advantage in identifying the cause of the disease. But the good thing is that it can be effective on patients with similar symptoms, greatly improving the efficacy of Chinese patent medicine. The following are some common Chinese patent medicines for relieving liver fire. Representative Chinese patent medicine: Xieqing Pills. Main effects: clear the liver and reduce heat. Similar Chinese patent medicines: Longdan Xiegan Pills and Danggui Longhui Pills. Liver fire, like heart fire, can be divided into real fire and false fire. In this section, we will first talk about the liver's real fire, which is excessive liver fire. We know that we can check heart fire by looking at the tongue, but how do we check liver fire? Eye. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine states: "The liver stores blood and opens up to the eyes." This means that the liver's essence is connected to the eyes, and the liver's meridians are connected to the eye system. Therefore, liver diseases can be reflected in the eyes, and the vision of the eyes depends on the nourishment of the liver blood. What are the eye symptoms of people with excessive liver fire? First of all, the eyes will turn red, and in severe cases they will be swollen, and in more serious cases they will be painful. In Chinese medicine terms, this is called "red, swollen and painful eyes." In addition to red, swollen and painful eyes, people with excessive liver fire will also feel very irritable, easily get angry, and cannot control themselves. Some people may also feel pain in the ribs, headache, and bitterness in the mouth. More serious patients may also experience red and painful urination, dry stools, etc. These are all typical symptoms of excessive liver fire. If the liver's fire is too strong, you need to clear the liver and reduce the fire. Therefore, when choosing medicines, we should choose those that have the effect of clearing the liver and purging fire, such as Xieqing Pills. Xieqing Pills are a commonly used heat-purging agent in clinical Chinese medicine. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, the liver is associated with the color blue, so "Xie Qing" means "Xie Gan". Xieqing Pills come from "Direct Prescriptions for Children's Medicines" by Qian Yi, a medical scientist in the Song Dynasty. Its main ingredients are eight medicinal herbs: gentian, rhubarb (fried with wine), indigo, siler, notopterygium, gardenia, ligusticum chuanxiong and angelica. The gentian and rhubarb in the prescription are both bitter and cold medicines, specifically for relieving liver fire. Indigo is salty and cold in nature, enters the liver meridian, and can clear liver fire, cool blood and detoxify. Gardenia can relieve fire and relieve restlessness, clear away heat and dampness, disperse the accumulated fire in the three burners, and expel evil heat through urine. Qianghuo and Fangfeng are pungent, warm and dispersing, and can dispel liver wind, disperse liver fire and relieve pain. Angelica and Chuanxiong are both blood tonics that can nourish liver blood, moisten liver dryness, and play a role in replenishing blood and activating blood circulation. At the same time, they are pungent, warm and dispersing, with a strong aroma. Therefore, these two medicines are blood-Qi medicines, which can not only promote Qi and relieve depression, activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, but also dispel wind and relieve pain. The combination of all the medicines in the prescription can play the role of clearing away liver fire, and the effect is relatively mild. It can effectively relieve symptoms such as red and swollen eyes, irritability, insomnia, red urine and constipation, tinnitus and deafness caused by excessive liver fire. |
