The plant height is 50 to 80 cm. The rhizome is thick, horizontal, covered with broad lanceolate scales, gradually pointed, and nearly entire. Leaves are subspermous; petiole is 1-2cm long, light brown; leaf blade is membranous or thin papery, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, 50-80cm long, up to 14cm wide in the middle, gradually pointed at the apex, with the base extending downward into narrow wings, several petioles at the base, entire or slightly winged, with obvious palisade, both sides raised, nearly flat, with 4-6 transverse veins between each pair of lateral veins. The sporangium is small, borne dorsally at the junction of the small veins, and irregularly distributed between the lateral veins.

【Selection】

1. For treating bladder failure, take 15g of Radix Glycyrrhizae, 15g of Centella asiatica and 15g of Rhizoma Zingiberis. Decoction in water.

2. For external injuries and bleeding, take appropriate amount of ginger and grind it into fine powder. Sprinkle on the affected area.
