Effects of Chinese medicine puffball

1. Hemostatic effect: The peeling puffball has obvious hemostatic effect on oral bleeding diseases, which is no less than starch sponge or gelatin sponge, and is also effective for nosebleeds. The principle is unclear.

2. Antibacterial effect: In vitro tests show that the decoction of peeled puffball has a certain inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus and Pneumococcus, and also has an inhibitory effect on a few pathogenic fungi. The decoction contains a large amount of pigment, and after decolorization with activated carbon, its antibacterial effect is greatly reduced. The squeezed juice of fresh fruiting bodies of Agaricus edulis, when injected into animals, can poison the capillaries and cause internal bleeding.
