Four kinds of traditional Chinese medicine are good for women’s health!

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that using warm tonic Chinese medicine in winter can enhance the vitality of the human body's internal organs, which is not only beneficial for disease prevention and health during this season, but also can lay the foundation for health in the coming year.

So, how should we choose among the many tonic medicines? For the four types of physical deficiency, namely Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency, it will be of great benefit to use the "four famous tonics" among tonic medicines: ginseng, donkey-hide gelatin, deer antler and cordyceps. Modern pharmacological research shows that Cordyceps sinensis contains protein, fat, sugar, crude fiber, minerals, cordycepic acid, cordycepin and vitamin B12, which can enhance immune function, increase myocardial blood flow, lower cholesterol, anti-hypoxia, anti-cancer, antiviral, antibacterial and sedative effects.

Recommended: Cordyceps duck

Take 1 old male duck and 10 grams of Cordyceps sinensis. Remove the duck's feathers and internal organs, split the duck's head along the neck, stuff a few Cordyceps sinensis into the duck's head and neck, then wrap them tightly with cotton thread, and stuff the rest into the duck's belly along with ginger and scallion. Put it in a basin, add clear soup, season with salt, pepper, and cooking wine, seal the basin, and steam it in a steamer for about 2 hours. After taking it out of the cage, pick out the ginger and scallion, add MSG, and you'll have the famous "Whole Duck with Cordyceps".

Li Shizhen said in Compendium of Materia Medica that deer antler can "produce essence and replenish marrow, nourish blood and benefit yang, strengthen tendons and bones, and treat all kinds of deficiency..." Modern pharmacological research shows that deer antler essence contains a variety of amino acids, chondroitin sulfate, estrone, collagen, protein, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. It has a nourishing and strengthening effect. It can increase the red blood cells, hemoglobin, and reticulocytes in the blood. Moderate doses can enhance myocardial contractility, increase cardiac output, and have a cardiotonic effect on a failing heart. Taking it can make people energetic, but people with yin deficiency should not take it.

Recommended: Deer antler millet porridge

Grind into powder, take 1 gram each time and take it with millet porridge. Or take 30 grams each of deer antler and yam, slice them separately, soak them in 500 grams of white wine, seal for 1 week, take 20 ml each time, twice a day, to treat impotence, frequent urination, and dark face. There are medicines on the market such as pills and oral liquid made with deer antler as the main ingredient, which can be taken according to the instructions.

Ginseng is warm in nature, sweet and slightly bitter in taste, enters the spleen and lung meridians, and greatly replenishes vital energy. Modern pharmacological research has found that its main active ingredients are ginsenosides and flavonoids, which have the functions of anti-aging, anti-fatigue, fighting harmful substances, anti-tumor, improving immunity, regulating the nervous and endocrine systems, increasing coronary blood flow, reducing myocardial oxygen consumption, regulating blood lipids, and preventing vascular sclerosis.

Recommended: Ginseng tea

Cut the ginseng into thin slices, take 2-3 grams each time, put it into a cup and add boiling water. After soaking for 1 hour, you can drink it. After drinking, add new water and repeat this cycle. It is best to finish taking it within 12 hours, and then chew the ginseng tablets at the end, or you can take the ginseng tablets directly by mouth. If used for emergency treatment, take 30 grams each time and boil it into a concentrated decoction and drink it all at once. Ginseng roots, flowers and leaves can also be soaked in water and drunk as tea.

Donkey-hide gelatin is mild in nature, sweet in taste, enters the lung, liver, and kidney meridians, and is known for nourishing yin and blood. Doctors of all dynasties have regarded donkey-hide gelatin as a good gynecological medicine. People call donkey-hide gelatin, ginseng and deer antler the "three treasures" of winter tonic. Because donkey-hide gelatin has unique effects in treating various gynecological diseases, it is especially popular among ladies.

Recommended: Donkey-hide gelatin and rock sugar stew with sesame seeds

Take 5-10 grams of donkey-hide gelatin, add appropriate amount of rice wine, and steam it in water. Or take 500 grams of donkey-hide gelatin, soak it in 1500 grams of rice wine, wait for the gelatin to become spongy, steam it into liquid, add 1000 grams of rock sugar while it is still hot, when the sugar and gelatin are dissolved into one, add appropriate amounts of fried black sesame seeds and crushed walnut meat, make it into a sticky paste, take 1 to 2 spoons each morning and evening, and take it with warm water.
