You may know the natural "nemesis" of this virus

There is a plant whose leaves and roots are both used as medicine. The leaves are called Isatis indigotica and the roots are called Isatis indigotica. Functions: clearing heat, cooling blood, detoxifying and relieving sore throat. It can prevent influenza, treat hepatitis, mumps, tonsillitis, etc. It has reliable efficacy and is a virus "killer".

1. Preventing influenza In those days, when the temperature rose in spring, influenza was more likely to occur in places where people gathered, so several schools would collect Chinese herbs and boil large pots of medicine for students to drink. Most of the prescriptions I gave them were the following Chinese medicines: honeysuckle, isatis indigotica, isatis root, bupleurum, smilax glabra, licorice, etc.

2. Used to treat hepatitis. In the 1980s, I worked in Fenggao District, Rongchang County (now changed to a town), and often encountered patients with hepatitis A. (Chinese medicine diagnosed it as jaundice and yang jaundice. Clinical manifestations include: yellow complexion and sclera, aversion to greasy food, yellow and red urine like cow urine, fatigue and weakness in limbs, dry and bitter mouth, etc. I used the Yinchenhao Decoction in Zhang Zhongjing's "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" in the Han Dynasty, with medicinal ingredients: Yinchen, Gardenia, Curcuma, Isatis Root, Bupleurum, Hawthorn, etc. Generally, jaundice can subside in 7 to 10 days, and liver function can return to normal in more than 20 days. It is rare to see hepatitis A patients in clinical practice now, but adding Isatis Root to the treatment of hepatitis B on the basis of syndrome differentiation can also improve the efficacy.

3. Used to treat mumps. Isatis root is antiviral and is also very effective in treating mumps. One spring, my daughter (about three or four years old at the time) suffered from severe mumps and her cheeks were swollen on both sides. I gave her Isatis root granules and she recovered in about four or five days. Also, I didn't take any other medicine.

4. Treatment of clinical manifestations of tonsillitis: fever and thirst, sore throat (swollen and congested tonsils), dry throat, dry stool, yellow urine, red tongue with thin white coating, and floating pulse. The prescription is Yinqiao Powder with modifications. 15 grams of honeysuckle, 15 grams of forsythia, 12 grams of platycodon, 15 grams of Scrophularia, 20 grams of Isatis root, 15 grams of burdock, 10 grams of mint, 20 grams of reed root, and 10 grams of licorice.

Note: Although Isatis indigotica and Isatis root are good at anti-virus and have the effects of cooling blood and relieving sore throat, they are not suitable for people with weak constitution, excessive fire, or heat toxins.
